The Adair County Cooperative Extension Service is offering a series of workshops that will provide beginner-level information on multiple aspects of farming. From taxes to legal requirements, record-keeping, and government programs, this program is a primer to get you started. Below are the following dates and topics:

• Developing a Kentucky Ag Water Quality Plan

• Local Agriculture Organizations
Each class begins at 6 p.m. and will last 1 to 1.5 hours. Classes are free, but registration is required by calling 270-384-2317.
BQCA Certification
A Beef Quality and Care Assurance certification class will be held on Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service.
The Kentucky BQCA program takes national BQA practices one step further to provide a holistic program for Kentucky producers by adding cattle handling and animal care components to the training models. Educational modules provide the best management practices for handling cattle and providing for their well-being, in addition to training on the core principles of BQA.
The cost of BQCA in-person training is $5. Producers also have an online option to complete the training online at www.kybeefnetwork.com
