CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (September 4, 2023) – On September 4, 2023 at approximately 3:30 A.M. EST, Kentucky State Police Post 15 Troopers responded to a single-vehicle injury collision on Hatcher Road in Taylor County.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Joseph Bott, age 42 of Campbellsville, was traveling west on Hatcher Rd. in a Honda Pioneer UTV when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing his vehicle to exit the roadway and overturn. Mr. Bott was ejected from the vehicle as it overturned.
Mr. Bott was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Taylor County Coroner. A passenger in Mr. Bott’s vehicle, Jeremy Wood, age 42 of Campbellsville, was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital and airlifted to University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.
KSP Post 15 Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Taylor County Sheriff's Office, Taylor County Fire and EMS, Taylor County Rescue Squad, and Taylor County Coroner. The collision remains under investigation by Senior Trooper Trevor High.
