The Columbia Police Department was dispatched Sunday night, April 14, to a report of a stolen vehicle on Hanley Lane, just off Russell Road. The following day, April 15, the vehicle was located abandoned, and wrecked, on Grissom Street. Officers obtained camera footage from the area of Carrie Bolin Drive and Hanley Lane. After viewing the footage, the operator was identified and later taken into custody.
Shane Hall, 18, of Columbia has been charged with criminal mischief 1st degree as well as theft by unlawful taking.
Officer Trevor Foster was the arresting Officer. He was assisted by multiple Officers with the Columbia Police Department.
