Beverly Ann Powell, 63, of Columbia, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Columbia on April 24, 1961 to the late Wesley and Millie Frances Hitch Goodin.
Mrs. Powell was a member of the New Hope Separate Baptist Church and enjoyed crafting, fishing, riding horses and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Dave Powell of Columbia; five children, Adam Burton (Stephanie) of Moore, Okla., James Burton (Heather), David Powell (Tammy), Donald Powell and Mary Powell all of Columbia; 17 grandchildren, Jayda, Jadyn, Jessica, Carissa, Jaedan W., Kaleb, Kory, Layla, Jessica P., Kyle, Charlie, Ashton, Bryton, Kaia, Sawyer, Hope and Devin; three great-grandchildren, Elias, Eliana and Elizabeth; four sisters, Janet Elaine Burton, Sharon Gale Melton (Chuck) and Rebecca Frances Wood (Guy) all of Campbellsville and Vicki Jo Milby of Summersville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Nickolas Burton; two brothers, Ronald Dale and Rufus Dean Goodin; and two brothers-in-law, David Burton and Gary Milby.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. and will continue Friday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.
Bro. Casey Davis will be officiating and pallbearers will be Donald Powell, Aaron Burton, Jayda Burton, Jadyn Burton and Eric Shepherd.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
