Derrick Shane Pickett, 27, of Columbia, died Friday, January 26, 2024 at his home.
He was born August 12, 1996 in Glasgow. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Gale Petty Cooper; an aunt, Deana Michelle Petty; and her paternal grandparents, Davis and Norma Pickett.
Survivors include his maternal grandparents, Coy and Vickie Petty of Columbia; his father, Richard Shane Pickett of Texas; one sister, Joslyn Gale Pickett of Texas; aunts and uncles, Troy Petty, Sheila Richard and Wayne Smith; special friends, Angie Rowe and Chris Coomer; several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating and burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Angie Rowe, Chris Coomer, Michael Burton, Brandon Burton, Coy Turner and William Richard Jr.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
