Lillian Mae ‘Lynn’ Curtis, 72, of Columbia, died Thursday, January 19, 2023 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville from injuries received in an accident in Elizabethtown.
She was born May 15, 1950 in Adair County to the late Addison and Delta Pierce Patton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Tyler Curtis and Brandon Back.
Lynn was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and had recently been attending Egypt Christian Church and most recently worked at McDonald’s in Columbia.
Her husband, Lloyd Eugene Curtis Sr., died on Monday, January 23, 2023.
Survivors include three children, Mary Kaye Graham of Columbia, Lloyd Eugene Curtis Jr, and Lori Ann Back both of North Vernon, Indiana; two brothers, Jim A. Patton and Willie Patton both of Columbia; two sisters, Rosemary Harmon and Starr Tweedy both of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Amy Lynn Nichols, Mary Ellen Howard, Tyler, Britney, Baylee, Chrissy, Dalton and Wesley Curtis and Justin Back; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Lynn and Gene Curtis will be Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Patton officiating and burial in Columbia Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today, Thursday, January 26, 2023.
Casket bearers are Jesse Howard, Dalton Curtis, Sam Patton, Justin Back, Joey Ray, Austin Nichols and Jimmy Harmon.
Grissom-Matin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
