Lindon Howard Wray, 79, of Columbia, went to his Heavenly Home surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.
He was born in Cumberland County on April 15, 1945 to the late Charlie and Ora Bullock Wray.
Lindon was a long-time member of Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, where he enjoyed playing the guitar and mandolin. He was also a founding member of the Bloomington Faith Singers. His favorite pastimes were spent antiquing, going to yard sales and spending time with his family and friends.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Darlene Streeval Wray; two brothers, Rosco Wray and Buddy Wray, both of Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Wray and Laverne Wray; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 siblings, Bernice VanArsdale, Frances Scott, Ernest Wray, Roy Wray, Udell Wray, Paul Wray, Cecil Wray, Sonny Wray, Russell Wray and Arnold Wray.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home. Bro. Ralph Foster and Bro. David Wray officiated and burial was in Bearwallow Cemetery.
Casket Bearers were Kenneth VanArsdale, Louis VanArsdale, Rodney Wray, Robert Wray, Jonathan Reynolds and David Streeval. Honorary were Edward Streeval, Dylan Collins, Stevie Turner, Terry Denton, Jacob Blair and Jeffrey Streeval.
