Mae Tucker Sneed, 76, of Knifley, died Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 11:46 p.m. at Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia.
She was born June 7, 1947 in Adair County to the late O’Connell and Gussie Emma Perkins Tucker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Sneed; a grandson, Caleb Kyle Sneed; and the following siblings, Norma Jean Tucker, Herman Tucker, Joene Tucker and Treva Warren.
Mae was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle Church in Knifley and a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Neal Sneed of Columbia and Gerald Sneed (Kay and her brother, Timothy James) of Russell Springs; one brother, Danny Dale Tucker of Knifley; a brother-in-law, Bill Warren; a sister-in-law, Paulette Tucker of Knifley; two grandsons, Jacob Sneed of Columbia and Joseph Sneed (Bailey) of Monticello; two great-granddaughters, Raelynn Nicole Sneed and Laura Leigh O’Neal Sneed; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jody Perkins and Bro. James Walker officiating and burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the church of your choice or Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
