Jason Lee Andrew, aka "Jake", husband of the late Venita “Jo” Andrew, passed away at Cypress Pond on Sunday, August 6th, 2023 in Tifton, Georgia. He was born May 4th, 1932 in Glensfork "Hard Scratch" to the late H.T. "Thious" Andrew and Harriet "Mae" Wheat-Andrew. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carnell (Christine) and Kenneth (Bernadine); a sister, Dorothy; and a daughter, Deborah Lynn Harrington-Price.

After serving in the United States Army from 1948 to 1952, he moved to Michigan. Jo was the love of his life. One week before they married, they re-committed themselves to God in the University Church of the Nazarene, Ann Arbor, which became a focal point for training their blended family, deep, lifelong friendships and a lot of wonderful memories! They were married and celebrated 49 years together before Jo's passing in 2021. They also became business partners and started a fruitful business, "Bluegrass Mow and Snow". He also worked for a time at General Motors Proving Grounds as a test car driver for Buick. He and his beloved wife moved back to Glensfork where he worked for the State of Kentucky with the Weatherization Assistance Program. They also lovingly welcomed more than 50 children into their home through foster care. They moved to Tifton in 2012 to finish the work the Lord started in them many years ago. He was a member of FBC Tifton. Jason loved playing games of almost any kind, especially with his family. His eyes would light up with delight when the family was all together.

He is survived by his brother, Billy; his children, who adore him, Dennis Lee Andrew (Gina), Dan Carroll Hostetler (Jeni), Dawn Caren Taylor (David), Sandra Jo Taylor (Charlie), Rhonda Suzette Andrew (Bob Yeutter) and Johanna Elizabeth Andrew; his grandchildren, Ryan Andrew, Jason (Kasha) Barth, David Barth, Chris (Audra) Hostetler, Stephen (Brie)Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Nicholas (Lia) Taylor, Austin (Courtney) Taylor, Justin (Leslie) Swafford, Anthony Swafford and Miranda Swafford; as well as 11 great-grandchildren, Maxwell Barth, Brianna Barth, Parker Hostetler, Weston Hostetler, Kai Taylor, Easton Taylor, Aadil Taylor, Arianna Swafford, Jenna Swafford and Hunter Swafford.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. You may offer condolences to the family at the online guest registry at www.bowen-donaldson.com. Services for the Andrew family are under the care and direction of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
