Renea Kerns, age 90, of Lebanon Junction, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, July 14, 2023. She was born on Friday, November 8, 1932 in Adair County, to the late Freemon and Rachel Coomer. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those for whom she loved and cared.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lee Roy Kerns and her siblings, Leon Coomer, Forbes Coomer, Landon Coomer, and Matra Stargel.
Survivors include her children, Diann Elliott (Jimmy), Patsy Young (Paul), Roy David Kerns (Nancy), June Moore (Roy) and Rebecca Ashbaugh (Terry); sister, Estelene Hayes; grandchildren, Angie Etherton, Stephanie Lewis, Paula Peoples, Matthew Kerns, Andrew Kile, Daniel Moore, Haley Keeling and Emily Moore; 13 great- grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Haven Hill Cemetery.
