Sheila Parson, 71, of Columbia, died Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born August 12, 1952 in Chicago to the late James A. and Orlena Sneed Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Willard Parson Jr.; one brother, Allen Shirley; and one sister, Margaret Reitz. She was a member of New Concord Community Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Parson of Columbia; her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Sandy Parson of Columbia; five grandchildren, Joseph Garner (Heather), Angela Marllow, Nikita Richardt (Aaron), D.J. Kirendolph (Nicole), Jerry Lucitta (Kandy); 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funerl services were held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Brown officiating and burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Casket bearers are Joseph Garner, D.J. Kirkendolph, Jerry Lucitta, Aaron Richardt, James Smithand Jacob Garner.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
